OCEARCH’s  Nick Whitney, Ph.D of Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium states, “Our long lost accelerometer has detached from Betsy and is pinging in after 112 days. The accelerometer battery should’ve kept it recording for at least the first 2-3 weeks, meaning this thing is floating around carrying about 150 MILLION data points of information if we can get it back. That’s what I mean by gold mine!”
